Why would the cat be more appreciative of Bernard? He didn't save him, he just woke him up because his alarm didn't go off. The faulty alarm saved his life, Bernard could have gotten him killed if he had woken him up earlier.
because we all have to really appreciate stupid characters like bernard in our lives, everyone has a bernard. maybe the cat sees things differently than the way you or i do, maybe he was just happy to be alive
or maybe it was a comic i made while half-awake during class or something

um i guess what happened was the cat got to work and when he got there everyone was massacred but he survived by not being there so he took stock in his life and appreciated “bernard” more??
i’m gonna be honest, back then i just straight up made comics with no planning or forethought. didn’t even sketch them, just put pen to paper and made up everything as i went along.

i seem to get Error establishing a database connection a lot, and its slooow. why????
sorry! there are two things to blame for this:
1. my webhost. those guys are always “working on” my server and that makes it slow for about 45 minutes at a time.
2. stumbleupon! they give me lots and lots of traffic (which is a good thing) but it’s more than my server is used to sometimes (which is a bad thing) so it just makes the site a lot slower for everyone :/

that’s cool i guess. i mean, i guess they’re bound to look similar in that they’re black and white with gray toning, and perhaps it’s more similar now because he’s been doing a lot of textures lately, but i’m pretty sure he does all of his digitally whereas i make mine on paper. to be honest i think my comics look closer to some sort of vague crossbreed of ryan a. comics. i get bored a lot and change things around so i’m bound to find something to mix into it soon. so thanks for the input i guess???
